RunNB Announces the Finalists for its Annual Awards

FREDERICTON (RunNB) - RunNB, the provincial organization that promotes running in New Brunswick, is pleased to announce the finalists for the 2024 RunNB Awards. 

“We are extremely proud of our New Brunswick running community,” said RunNB Chairperson Donald Wade. “Congratulations to all nominees and everyone who participated in a RunNB event this year. We encourage you to come celebrate running with us in Memramcook.”

All awards will be presented at the 2024 RunNB Annual General meeting, Awards luncheon and Hall of Fame induction in Memramcook on Saturday, November 16th.

There will be a meet and greet at 10:30 a.m. with the annual general meeting starting at 10:45 a.m. followed by the RunNB Awards luncheon and Hall of Fame induction ceremony. Phil Booker, of Fredericton, will be inducted posthumously into the RunNB Hall of Fame.

Finalists for the 2024 RunNB annual awards:

  • Male Runner of the Year: Jean-Marc Doiron (Moncton), Jérémie Pellerin (Dieppe) and Colin McQuade (Riverview)
     
  • Female Runner of the Year: Marcelle Breau (Tracadie), Amy Caissie (Six Roads) and Sacha Hourihan (Sussex Corner)
     
  • Up and Coming Male Runner of the Year: Cody Cooper (Saint John), Cody Jenkins (Saint John) and Remi-Pierrre Roussel (Tracadie)
     
  • Up and Coming Female Runner of the Year: Emilie Doucette (Rogersville), Meghan Duffy (Miramichi) and Lyndsay Scovil (Dieppe)
     
  • Sylvio Bourque Memorial Award (Inspirational Person of the Year): Jean-Marc Doiron (Dieppe), Colin McQuade (Riverview) and Jillian Swinkles (North Grant, Nova Scotia)
     
  • Personal Achievement Award: Raymond Caissie (Cap-Lumiere), Colin McQuade (Riverview) and Lloyd Sutherland (Fredericton)
     
  • Event of the Year: Fall Classic (Fredericton), Hampton 5-Miler (Hampton) and Run for Renee (Quispamsis)
