2023 RunNB Award Winners

MIRAMICHI (RunNB) - Evan Arsenault and Julia Reid-Howell were named RunNB's runners of the year. ‎

Arsenault, of Quispamsis and Reid-Howell, of Fredericton, were named 2023 male and female runners of the year respectively.

"RunNB had a great year in 2023 and is proud of the performances of the hundreds of runners who participated in more than 58 races in New Brunswick during the year", said RunNB Chairman Donald Wade.

RunNB, the provincial organization that promotes running in New Brunswick, presented the awards at the 2023 RunNB Annual General meeting and Awards luncheon co-hosted by the Miramichi River Runners and RunNB in Miramichi. Dr. Paula Keating and Bradley Wood, of the Miramichi River Runners, were the guest speakers for the event.

The RunNB 2023 award winners are:

  • Female Runner of the Year:  Julia Reid-Howell (Fredericton)
  • Male Runner of the Year: Evan Arsenault (Quispamsis)
  • Up and Coming Female Runner of the Year: Amy Caissie (Six Roads)
  • Up and Coming Male Runner of the Year: Mathieu Hébert (Moncton)
  • Sylvio Bourque Memorial Award (Inspirational Person of the Year):  Sébastien Godin (Moncton)
  • Personal Achievement Award: Steve Dohaney (Fredericton)
  • Event of the Year: The Claw Run (Shediac)

    RunNB Outstanding Contributor:
  • James Hoyt and Maureen Daigle (Fredericton)
