A record 2,800 participants signed up for race weekend.
Saturday’s 3k and 5k participants followed an out-and-back course along the city’s trail system across the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge.
More than 300 children participated in Youth Fun Run sponsored by the New Brunswick Medical Society, RunNB and Trites Orthodontics. The 500 meter and 1 kilometer events were held Saturday afternoon at the Nashwaaksis outdoor track next to the fieldhouse on the city’s northside.
Sunday’s 10k, 21.1k, and 42.2k participants crossed the Westmorland Street Bridge, hit the trails and crossed the Bill Thorpe Walking Bridge to get back to Queen’s Square. They were cheered on by volunteers, family, friends and spectators along the route.
