RunNB Surprised and Disappointed by Doping Story
November 10th, 2023
The news of a New Brunswick runner, Mohamed Aagab, being found guilty of using an illicit performance enhancing drug, has sent shock waves through the running community. Aagab, who immigrated to Canada in 2018 from Morocco, had dreams of starting a new life and put his running skills to the test. He was awarded the RunNB Personal Achievement award in 2022 for his exceptional performances. Unfortunately, a bad decision put an end to his dreams and he will have to live with the consequence of not being able to compete for three years.
RunNB Chairman, Donald Wade, was interviewed on the topic by Radio Canada’s Martine Blanchard on November 9. Here is the 7-minute interview for your listening.
